Checkpoint

A checkpoint is a location in a level where the player's progress is saved. When the player dies, they will respawn at the last checkpoint they reached. Checkpoints are often placed at key points in a game, such as before a difficult section or boss fight. Checkpoints are activated by the player walking over them.

In BeauFForce, there are two types of checkpoints:

Small Checkpoints

Small checkpoints are placed throughout levels to save the player's progress. They allow the player to respawn at the checkpoint if they have lives left.

If the player runs out of lives, they will restart the level from the beginning or from the previous large checkpoint.

Small checkpoints are represented by a French flag. When the player walks over a small checkpoint, the flag will be raised, indicating that the checkpoint has been activated.

Large Checkpoints

Large checkpoints are placed in critical locations, such as before a boss fight or during a particularly challenging section of a level.
When all lives are lost, the level restarts from there upon activation.
